     James Erskine was born in 1732.1 He was the son of John Erskine and Anne Stirling.1 He married Lady Christian Bruce, daughter of William Bruce, 8th Earl of Kincardine and Jane Roberton, on 28 April 1762.1 He died on 27 March 1802.1
