     Amy Gertrude Bruce was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Robert Bruce and Rachel Frances Corbet.^1,2 She married Thomas Edward Erskine, son of Reverend Thomas Erskine and Emmeline Augusta Adeane, on 17 November 1888.¹ She died on 10 October 1939.
     Her married name became Erskine.

     Lt.-Gen. Robert Bruce was the son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin.¹ He married Rachel Frances Corbet, daughter of Richard Corbet, on 5 February 1857.² He died in 1891.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 74th Highlanders.² He fought in the Kaffir War between 1851 and 1853.² He retired from the military in 1881, with the rank of Lieutenant-General.² He gained the rank of Colonel between 1890 and 1891 in the East Yorkshire Regiment.²
