Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell of Middlebie1

     Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell of Middlebie was born on 16 December 1821.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. James Wedderburn and Isabella Clerk.2 He married Joanna Keir, daughter of James Keir, on 14 September 1847.1 He died on 12 May 1896 at age 74.1
     He was given the name of Andrew Wedderburn-Colville at birth. He was with the Madras Civil Service between 1841 and 1878.1 In 1879 his name was legally changed to Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Glenlair, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.1 He lived at Middlebie, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1

     Joanna Keir is the daughter of James Keir.2 She married Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell of Middlebie, son of Rt. Hon. James Wedderburn and Isabella Clerk, on 14 September 1847.1
     From 14 September 1847, her married name became Wedderburn.

     Helen Mary Godfrey Godfrey-Faussett-Osborne was the daughter of Reverend Henry Godfrey Godfrey-Faussett-Osborne.2 She married Major James Andrew Colville Wedderburn-Maxwell, son of Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell of Middlebie and Joanna Keir, on 29 October 1891.1 She died on 20 July 1946.1
     From 29 October 1891, her married name became Wedderburn-Maxwell.
