Altham Annesley, 1st Baron Altham was born before 1650.1 He was the son of Arthur Annesley, 1st Earl of Anglesey and Elizabeth Altham.1 He married Alicia Leigh, daughter of Hon. Charles Leigh and Anne Littleton, on 3 September 1678 at Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England.1 He married, secondly, Ursula Markham, daughter of Sir Robert Markham, 2nd Bt. and Mary Widdrington, in July 1697.1 He died on 26 April 1699 at London, England, from apoplexy.1 He was also reported to have died on 26 April 1699 at Bath, Somerset, England.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered to granted to his widow on 31 July 1699.1
He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 1 February 1670/71 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was created 1st Baron Altham, of Altham, co. Cork [Ireland] on 14 February 1680/81.1 In May 1689 he was attainted by the Irish Government of King James II, as a resident in England, and his estate of £1400 a year was sequestered.1 On 22 August 1695 he was finally introduced to the House of Lords [Ireland].1
