     Sir James Crerar was the son of John Crerar. He married Evelyn Brand, daughter of Major Hon. Charles Brand and Alice Emma Sturgis Van de Weyer, on 27 April 1916.1 He died on 29 August 1960.1
     Sir James Crerar was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.).1
