     Edith Lilian Hamilton was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert William Hamilton and Charlotte Maria Palmer.¹ She married Norman Alexander Sinclair, son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Young Sinclair and Margaret Crichton Alston, on 29 January 1898.² She died on 28 April 1951.²
      Her married name became Sinclair.

     Norman Alexander Sinclair was born on 29 July 1869.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Young Sinclair and Margaret Crichton Alston. He married Edith Lilian Hamilton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert William Hamilton and Charlotte Maria Palmer, on 29 January 1898.² He died on 11 May 1904 at age 34.²

     Helen Violet Hamilton is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert William Hamilton and Charlotte Maria Palmer.¹ She married Joseph Forman on 25 March 1912.¹ She and Joseph Forman were divorced in 1924.¹
      Helen Violet Hamilton usually went by her middle name of Violet. Her married name became Forman.

     Joseph Forman married Helen Violet Hamilton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert William Hamilton and Charlotte Maria Palmer, on 25 March 1912.¹ He and Helen Violet Hamilton were divorced in 1924.¹

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Young Sinclair was born on 16 February 1824.¹ He was the son of Sir John Sinclair, 6th Bt. and Margaret Learmonth. He married Margaret Crichton Alston, daughter of James Alston, on 26 June 1861.¹ He died on 3 February 1871 at age 46 at Jeypore, Bombay, India.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Bombay Army.

     Margaret Crichton Alston was the daughter of James Alston.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Young Sinclair, son of Sir John Sinclair, 6th Bt. and Margaret Learmonth, on 26 June 1861.² She died on 12 March 1909.²
      Her married name became Sinclair.

     Sir John Sinclair, 6th Bt. was born on 16 September 1794.¹ He was the son of John Sinclair, 4th of Barrock and Ann Longmire.² He married Margaret Learmonth, daughter of John Learmonth, in July 1821.¹ He died on 21 April 1873 at age 78, with other issue:.¹
     He lived Barrock.¹ He gained the title of 6th Baronet Sinclair, of Dunbeath in 1842.

     Margaret Learmonth was the daughter of John Learmonth. She married Sir John Sinclair, 6th Bt., son of John Sinclair, 4th of Barrock and Ann Longmire, in July 1821.² She died on 29 November 1879.²
     She lived Edinburgh.² Her married name became Sinclair.

     Sir Ronald Norman John Charles Udny Sinclair, 8th Bt. was born on 30 June 1899.¹ He was the son of Norman Alexander Sinclair and Edith Lilian Hamilton. He married Reba Blair Inglis, daughter of Anthony Inglis, on 5 January 1926.¹ He died on 19 October 1952 at age 53.¹
     He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) Caithness.¹ He was educated Wellington and RMC Sandhurst.¹ He was Major 4th/5th Battalion Seaforth Hldrs (Territorial Army).¹ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He gained the title of 8th Baronet Sinclair, of Dunbeath. He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.).¹
