     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet McEwen, of Marchmont, co. Berwick. He lived in 2003 at Flat 7, 80 Elm Park Gardens, London, England.¹

     Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 June 1926.¹ He was the son of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 1st Bt. and Bridget Mary Lindley. He married Brigid Cecilia Laver, daughter of James Laver, on 18 September 1954.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He lived Marchmont and Bardrochat.¹ He was educated Eton and Trin College Cambridge.¹ He was also known as 3rd Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].¹ He was Grenadier Gds, barrister Inner Temple in 1951.¹

     Brigid Cecilia Laver is the daughter of James Laver.² She married Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 1st Bt. and Bridget Mary Lindley, on 18 September 1954.¹
     She was Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.).¹ She was Fellow, Royal Society of Literature (F.R.S.L.).¹ She lived Blackheath.¹ She was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).¹ She was Honour Royal Engineers.¹ Her married name became McEwen. She lived in 2003 at Polwarth Crofts, Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹
