     James Henry Linton was the son of Reverend James Linton.2 He married Marcella Araminta Victoria Ross, daughter of John Ross, in 1869 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.3,2 He died in 1875 at St. Giles, London, England.3,2
     He lived at Hemingford, Huntingdonshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 44th Regiment of Foot.2
