     Lt.-Col. William Joseph Stirling of Keir was born on 9 May 1911.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Archibald Stirling of Keir and Hon. Margaret Mary Fraser.2 He married Susan Rachel Bligh, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Noel Gervase Bligh and Mary Jack Frost, on 22 November 1940.2 He died on 1 January 1983 at age 71.1,3
     Lt.-Col. William Joseph Stirling of Keir also went by the nick-name of Bill.1 He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1932 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Guards.1 He was commanding officer of the 62 Commando in 1942.4 He was commanding officer of the 2 Special Air Service Regiment between 1943 and 1944.4 He sold Keir in 1976.1 He lived at Keir, Dunblane, Perthshire, ScotlandG.

     Susan Rachel Bligh was born on 12 August 1916.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Noel Gervase Bligh and Mary Jack Frost.1 She married Lt.-Col. William Joseph Stirling of Keir, son of Brig.-Gen. Archibald Stirling of Keir and Hon. Margaret Mary Fraser, on 22 November 1940.1 She died in 1983.1
     Her married name became Stirling.

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Noel Gervase Bligh was born on 14 November 1888.1 He was the son of Ivo Francis Walter Bligh, 8th Earl of Darnley and Florence Rose Morphy.1 He married, firstly, Mary Jack Frost, daughter of Captain George Alfred Frost, on 24 July 1912.1 He and Mary Jack Frost were divorced in 1934.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Millicent Isabella Bevan, daughter of Hubert Lee Bevan, on 18 January 1934.1 He married, thirdly, Kathleen Weatherill (?) in 1973.1 He died on 4 July 1984 at age 95 at Sloane Gate Mansions, D'Oyley Street, London, England.1,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945, with the Royal Pioneer Corps.1

Noel Gervase Bligh, son of Ivo Francis Walter Bligh, 8th Earl of Darnley and Florence Rose Morphy, on 24 July 1912.1 She and Lt.-Col. Hon. Noel Gervase Bligh were divorced in 1934.1 She died on 9 June 1940.1
     Her married name became Bligh.

Noel Gervase Bligh, son of Ivo Francis Walter Bligh, 8th Earl of Darnley and Florence Rose Morphy, on 18 January 1934.1 She died on 31 March 1972.1
     From before 1934, her married name became Munroe.1 Her married name became Bligh.

Sir John Paley Johnson, 6th Bt. were divorced in 1947.1 She married, secondly, Frank Hugh Shirley Fox, son of Frank Hugh Fox, on 20 May 1948.1 She and Frank Hugh Shirley Fox were divorced in 1953.1 She died in 1991.1
     She was a BBC TV announcer and hostess in 1936.1 From 2 October 1940, her married name became Johnson. From 20 May 1948, her married name became Fox.

Florence Rose Morphy1

     Florence Rose Morphy was the daughter of John Stephen Morphy.1 She married Ivo Francis Walter Bligh, 8th Earl of Darnley, son of John Stuart Bligh, 6th Earl of Darnley and Lady Harriet Mary Pelham, on 9 February 1884.1 She died on 30 August 1944.1
     Her married name became Bligh. After her marriage, Florence Rose Morphy was styled as Countess of Darnley on 31 October 1900. She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1919.1
