     James Menteth was the son of William Menteth of Caribber and Christian Boyd.2 A contract for the marriage of James Menteth and Gyles Durie was signed on 10 December 1684.1 He died between 1712 and 1715.1
     He lived at Burrowine, Perthshire, Scotland.1

     Lt.-Col. James William Sherrard was born in 1877 at Jamaica.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles William Sherrard and Clara Maud Brooke.1 He died in 1926.1
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was awarded the Order of the Nile 3rd Class.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Supply and Transport Corps.1

     George Charles Sherrard was born on 30 July 1882.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles William Sherrard and Clara Maud Brooke.1 He died on 14 April 1968 at age 85.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Supply and Transport Corps.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was with the Indian Agricultural Department.1
