     He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Battalion, London Regiment.2

     Edith Marguerite Tate was born on 17 July 1878.1 She was the daughter of Edwin Tate and Mary Edward Guild.2 She married Frederick William Wignall on 5 September 1901.1 She died on 3 April 1958 at age 79. He d 6 May 1939.1
     Her married name became Wignall. She was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1918.1
