     Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng was the daughter of Vice-Admiral George Byng, 6th Viscount Torrington and Elizabeth Langmead.2 She married Reverend John Lukin, son of Very Rev. George William Lukin and Susan Katherine Doughty, on 28 July 1836.1 She died on 2 April 1875.1
     From 28 July 1836, her married name became Lukin.

George Byng, 7th Viscount Torrington was born on 9 September 1812.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral George Byng, 6th Viscount Torrington and Frances Harriet Barlow.2 He married Mary Anne Astley, daughter of Sir John Dugdale Astley, 1st Bt. and Sarah Page, on 18 March 1833.1 He died on 27 April 1884 at age 71.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Byng of Southill, co. Bedford [G.B., 1721] on 18 June 1831.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Torrington, co. Devon [G.B., 1721] on 18 June 1831.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Byng, of Wrotham, Kent [G.B., 1715] on 18 June 1831.1 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting between 1837 and 1841.1 He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Ceylon between 1847 and 1850.1 He was Lord-in-Waiting between 1859 and 1884.1
