     Sir Benjamin Louis Cohen, 1st Bt. was born on 18 November 1844.¹ He was the son of Louis Cohen and Rebecca Floretta Keyser.² He married Louisa Emily Merton, daughter of Benjamin Moses Merton, on 27 April 1870.¹ He died on 8 November 1909 at age 64.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for London.¹ He held the office of Member of the London City Council between 1888 and 1901.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Islington between 1892 and 1906.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Cohen, of Highfield, Shoreham, Kent [U.K.] on 19 December 1905.¹

     Sir Herbert Benjamin Cohen, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 April 1874.¹ He was the son of Sir Benjamin Louis Cohen, 1st Bt. and Louisa Emily Merton.² He married Hannah Mildred Behrens, daughter of Henry Behrens, on 26 March 1907.¹ He died on 23 April 1968 at age 93.¹
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1895 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1898 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1899 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cohen, of Highfield, Shoreham, Kent [U.K., 1905] on 8 November 1909.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ On his death his baronetcy expired.¹

     Henry Behrens lived at Gloucester Square, London, England.¹

     Hannah Mildred Behrens is the daughter of Henry Behrens.² She married Sir Herbert Benjamin Cohen, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Benjamin Louis Cohen, 1st Bt. and Louisa Emily Merton, on 26 March 1907.¹
     Hannah Mildred Behrens usually went by her middle name of Nina.¹ From 26 March 1907, her married name became Cohen.

     Nigel Benjamin Cohen was born on 18 January 1908.¹ He was the son of Sir Herbert Benjamin Cohen, 2nd Bt. and Hannah Mildred Behrens.² He died on 18 September 1931 at age 23, unmarried.¹

     Arthur Merton Cohen was born on 16 June 1876.¹ He was the son of Sir Benjamin Louis Cohen, 1st Bt. and Louisa Emily Merton.² He died on 3 February 1966 at age 89, unmarried.¹
