He was the son of Colonel Leslie Davidson and Lady Theodora Keppel.1 He married Lady Mary Rachel Fitzalan-Howard, daughter of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk and Gwendoline Mary Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, on 31 July 1939.1 He died on 2 March 1943 at age 47 at TunisiaG, killed in action.1
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
