     Lt.-Col. John Edward Broke Freeman was the son of Sir Philip Horace Freeman.2 He married Lady Winefride Alice Fitzalan-Howard, daughter of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk and Gwendoline Mary Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, on 7 May 1943.2 He died in 1986.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.2

     Hon. Lavinia Mary Strutt was born on 22 March 1916.1 She was the daughter of Algernon Henry Strutt, 3rd Baron Belper and Hon. Eva Isabel Marion Bruce.1 She married Bernard Marmaduke Fitzalan-Howard, 16th Duke of Norfolk, son of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk and Gwendoline Mary Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, on 27 January 1937.3 She died on 10 December 1995 at age 79.1
     Her married name became Fitzalan-Howard. After her marriage, Hon. Lavinia Mary Strutt was styled as Duchess of Norfolk in 1956. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1971.1 She held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex between 1975 and 1995.1 She was Steward at Goodwood between 1975 and 1995.1 She gained the title of Dame Lavinia Fitzalan-Howard in 1990.1 She was appointed Lady Companion, Order of the Garter (L.G.) in 1990.1

     Anne Elizabeth Fitzalan-Howard, 14th Lady Herries of Terregles was born on 12 June 1938.1 She was the daughter of Bernard Marmaduke Fitzalan-Howard, 16th Duke of Norfolk and Hon. Lavinia Mary Strutt.1 She married Michael Colin Cowdrey, Baron Cowdrey of Tonbridge, son of Ernest Arthur Cowdrey and Kathleen Mary Taylor, in 1985.3 She died on 23 November 2014 at age 76.4
     She succeeded as the 14th Lady Herries of Terregles [S., 1490] on 30 January 1975, suo jure.1 She was a racehorse trainer.4 From 1985, her married name became Cowdrey.

     She was Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Alexandra in 1964.1 She was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1974.3 She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1982.1 From 1986, her married name became Mumford.3 She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 1995.1 She lived in 2003 at North Shoke Cottage. North Stoke, Arundel, Sussex, England.1 She succeeded as the 15th Lady Herries of Terregles [S., 1490] on 23 November 2014.4
