     Her married name became Loder-Symonds. She was Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1

     Major John Frederick Loder-Symonds was born circa 1874.1 He was the son of Frederick Cleave Loder-Symonds and Elizabeth Isabel Emily Parland.2,1 He married Mary Josephine Vavasour, daughter of Major Sir William Edward Joseph Vavasour, 3rd Bt. and Mary Teresa Weld, on 30 November 1907.2 He died on 31 October 1914 at Ypres, BelgiumG, killed in action.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War.2

     Sir Geoffrey William Vavasour, 5th Bt. was born on 5 September 1914.1 He was the son of Captain Sir Leonard Pius Vavasour, 4th Bt. and Ellice Margaret Nelson.1 He married, firstly, Joan Millicent Kirkland Robb, daughter of Arthur John Robb, on 23 January 1940.1 He and Joan Millicent Kirkland Robb were divorced in 1947.1 He married, secondly, Marcia Christine Lodge, daughter of Marshall Shaw Lodge, in 1971.1 He and Marcia Christine Lodge were divorced in 1980.1 He died on 28 July 1997 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Vavasour, of Hazlewood, co. York. [U.K., 1828] on 14 September 1961.1 He was director of W. M. Still & Sons, kitchen equipment manufacturers between 1962 and 1980.1
