     Robert Francis Loder-Symonds was born in 1884 at Berkshire, England.1 He was the son of Frederick Cleave Loder-Symonds and Elizabeth Isabel Emily Parland.1 He married Agnes Muriel Dolphin, daughter of James Dolphin and Jane Georgiana Ommanney, in 1912 at Lewisham, Kent, England.1 He died on 3 March 1915, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.2
