George Forbes, 6th Earl of Granard was born on 14 June 1760.1 He was the son of George Forbes, 5th Earl of Granard and Dorothea Bayly.1 He married Lady Selina Frances Rawdon, daughter of John Rawdon, 1st Earl of Moira and Elizabeth Hastings, Baroness Hastings, on 10 May 1779.1 He died on 9 June 1837 at age 76 at Paris, France.2
He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Forbes, of Castle Forbes, Co. Longford, Ireland [N.S., 1628] on 16 April 1780.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Viscount of Granard, co. Augustus Berkeley, 4th Earl of Berkeley and Elizabeth Drax.1 She married, firstly, George Forbes, 5th Earl of Granard, son of Lt.-Gen. George Forbes, 4th Earl of Granard and Letitia Davys, on 20 April 1766 at London, England.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Samuel Little in January 1781 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 She died on 24 January 1820 at age 70.1
