Major Arthur John Bonfoy St. Leger was born on 25 November 1859.1 He was the son of Colonel John St. Leger and Philippa Roper.1 He married Hilda Geraldine Smith, daughter of Colonel Sir Gerard Smith and Isabella Chatelaine Hamilton, on 8 April 1896.1 He died on 22 March 1939 at age 79.1
