     Joseph Jackson Lister was born on 11 January 1786.1 He was the son of John Lister and Mary Jackson.1 He married Isabella Harris, daughter of Anthony Harris, on 14 July 1818.1 He died on 24 October 1869 at age 83.1
     Joseph Jackson Lister was a wine merchant at Upton House, Upton Lane, West Ham, Essex, England.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) with an interest in optics.1
