     Katherine Seton was the daughter of Patrick Seton and Barbara Amot.1 She married Andrew Moncrieff of Reidie, son of George Moncrieff of Reidie and Isobell Norvell, in 1629.1 She died after 1645.1
     From 1629, her married name became Moncrieff.1

     James Cheape was born in 1745.1 He was the son of James Cheape and MArgaret Clerk.1 He was baptised on 25 January 1744/45 at South Leith, Scotland.1 He married Helen Moncrieff, daughter of George Moncrieff of Reedie and Myres Castle and Helen Skene, on 3 December 1785.1 He died in 1824.1
     He purchased Strathyrum in 1782.1
