     Lt.-Cdr.Hon. Douglas David Edward Vivian was born on 16 January 1915. He was the son of George Crespigny Brabazon Vivian, 4th Baron Vivian and Nancy Lycett Green.1 He married Mary Alice Borthwick, daughter of Francis John Gordon Borthwick and Eugenie Helen Francklyn Thompson, on 3 April 1943.1 He died in 1973.1
     Lt.-Cdr.Hon. Douglas David Edward Vivian gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was decorated with the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).1

He married Victoria Ruth Mary Rosamund Oliphant, daughter of Captain Henry Gerrard Laurence Oliphant, on 8 March 1930. He died in 1991.

He married, secondly, Carol Martineau, daughter of Frederick Alan Martineau, in 1972.
