     Sir James Cochrane was born in 1790.1 He was the son of Thomas Cochran and Jane Allan.1 He married Ann Theresa Elizabeth Haly, daughter of Colonel Charles Dominic William Haly and Ann Hutchings, in 1829.1 He died on 24 June 1883 at Glenrocky House, Gibraltar.1
     He was educated at King's College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.1 He was admitted to Bar of Nova Scotia on 21 July 1817.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1829.1 He held the office of Chief Justice of Gibraltar between 1841 and 1877.1 He was appointed Knight in 1845.1

     Ann Theresa Elizabeth Haly was born in 1806.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Charles Dominic William Haly and Ann Hutchings.1,2 She married Sir James Cochrane, son of Thomas Cochran and Jane Allan, in 1829.1 She died in 1873.3
     From 1829, her married name became Cochrane.1

     Rupert Inglis Cochrane was born on 31 May 1836.1 He was the son of Rupert John Cochrane and Isabella Macomb Clarke.1 He died on 7 January 1864 at age 27, shot accidentally while hunting.1
     He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol between 1854 and 1855.1 He gained the rank of Ensign on 14 July 1854 in the 34th (Cumberland) Foot.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 9 February 1855.1 He fought in the Indian Mutiny between 1857 and 1859.1
