     Francis Ramsay was born on 20 November 1815.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 He married Georgina Hay Home, daughter of William Foreman Home of Wedderburn, on 10 February 1848.1 He died on 25 December 1867 at age 52, with a daughter (died unm):.1
     He was Captain Royal Artillery.1

     Mary Ramsay was born circa 1813.1 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 She married Reverend Bruges Lambert on 10 August 1837.1 She died on 5 January 1890.1 She died on 5 January 1890, aged 77.1
      Her married name became Lambert. She was also known as Mary Ramsay.1 On 25 February 1845 married 2nd John Sparkes, of Crewkerne, Somerset.1

     Elizabeth Ramsay was baptised on 12 May 1818 at Fettercairn, Kincardineshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 She married John Carr, son of John Carr, on 6 June 1843.1 She died on 14 February 1887 at age 68.1
      From 6 June 1843, her married name became Carr.1 On 13 June 1860 married 2nd Charles Murray Barstow (died 1885).1

     Edward Bannerman Ramsay was born on 31 January 1793 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman.1 He married Isabella Cochrane, daughter of Rupert Cochrane, on 6 March 1829 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.1 He died on 26 December 1872 at age 79, without issue.2 He was also reported to have died on 27 December 1872.1
     He was also known as Reverend Edward Bannerman Burnett.2 He was Doctor of Law (LL.D.).2 He held the office of Dean of Edinburgh.1

     Isabella Cochrane is the daughter of Rupert Cochrane.1 She married Edward Bannerman Ramsay, son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman, on 6 March 1829 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.1 She died in 1858.2
      Nova Scotia.2 She lived Halifax.2 Her married name became Burnett. She was also known as Isabella Cochrane.2 From 6 March 1829, her married name became Ramsay.1

     Sir John Edensor Heathcote was born in 1758 at Longton Hall, Staffordshire, England.1 He was the son of Michael Heathcote and Rachel (?).1 He married Anne Gresley, daughter of Sir Nigel Gresley, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Wynne, in 1780 at Knypersley, Staffordshire, England.1 He died in 1822.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1784.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1784.1
