     Alan Frederick James de Rutzen was born on 4 July 1876.1 He married Eleanor Etna Audley Thursby-Pelham, daughter of Pelham Thursby-Pelham and Emily Florence Foley, on 28 April 1908.1 He died on 7 August 1916 at age 40 at El Arish, Egypt, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Pembrokeshire Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey between 1740 and 1776.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Onslow [E., 1674] on 5 June 1740.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Onslow, of Onslow, Shropshire and of West Clandon, co.
