     Michael Campbell Devas was the son of Geoffrey Charles Devas.1 He married, firstly, Patience Merryday Stern, daughter of Sir Albert Gerald Stern, in 1952.1 He and Patience Merryday Stern were divorced in 1967.1 He married, secondly, Gillian Barbara Hewett in 1967.1 He died on 4 May 2007.1
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
