     Rowland Richard Robbins was born on 24 December 1872.1,2 He was the son of Rowland Robbins and Caroline Ebbs.2 He married, firstly, Rosa Marion Harris, daughter of Charles Centurier Harris, in 1896.1,2 He married, secondly, Estelle May Harris, daughter of Charles Centurier Harris, in 1911.1 He died on 18 August 1960 at age 87.1,3
     He was educated at Taunton School, Taunton, Somerset, England.2 He was member of the Agricultural Wages Board between 1917 and 1921.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.3 He was member of the Agricultural Wages Board between 1924 and 1931.2 He was member of the Transport Advisory Council between 1934 and 1944.2 He was member of the Thames Conservancy between 1943 and 1946.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Middlesex in 1945.3
