     Archibald Henry Reginald Primrose was born on 14 December 1889.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Henry William Primrose and Helen Mary McMicking.1 He married Anna Elizabeth Palliser Dickenson, daughter of John Booth Dickenson, in 1922.1 He died on 20 August 1963 at age 73, without issue.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1912 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Guards (SR).1
