Colonel Sir William Heneage Wynne-Finch was born on 18 January 1893.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Arthur Wynne-Finch and Maud Emily Charteris.1 He married Gladys Waterbury, daughter of John Isaac Waterbury, on 17 October 1929.1 He died on 16 December 1961 at age 68, without issue.1
Colonel Sir William Heneage Wynne-Finch was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice, and mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was advisor of the Egyptian Army between 1919 and 1926.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Caernarvonshire.1 He was decorated with the Order of the Nile (4th class).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Caernarvonshire between 1941 and 1960.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1960.1

He married, firstly, Edith Augusta Muriel Tryon, daughter of Captain Henry Tryon, on 27 June 1907. He and Edith Augusta Muriel Tryon were divorced in 1918. He married, secondly, Louise Eileen Knox, daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Williams Knox, on 3 July 1919. He died on 26 November 1950 at age 71.
