     Anne Louisa Charteris was born on 17 May 1909. She was the daughter of Nigel Keppel Charteris and Katherine Margaret Buchanan-Riddell. She married Major John Arkwright Bonham-Carter, son of Captain Guy Bonham-Carter, on 30 December 1939. She died on 2 November 1990 at age 81.1
     Her married name became Bonham-Carter.
