     William Vachell was born in 1827.1 He married Mary Ann Fedden, daughter of William Fedden and Jemima Maggs, on 17 September 1862 at St. John's Church, Redland, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.1 He died in 1910.1
     He held the office of Mayor of Cardiff in 1873.1

     From 11 June 1855, her married name became Hillyar.1
