     Sir Stewart Bruce, 1st and last Bt. was the son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston.1 He married Emma Ramsbottom, daughter of James Ramsbottom, on 18 October 1838.1 He died on 19 March 1841, without issue.1
     Sir Stewart Bruce, 1st and last Bt. was Genealogist of the Order of St. Patrick.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher of Dublin Castle.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bruce [U.K.] on 24 December 1812.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Emma Ramsbottom was the daughter of James Ramsbottom.1 She married, firstly, Sir Stewart Bruce, 1st and last Bt., son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston, on 18 October 1838.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Bernard Ernest Jules de Koetteritz, son of General unknown de Koetteritz, on 18 October 1849.1
     From 18 October 1838, her married name became Bruce. From 18 October 1849, her married name became Koetteritz.1

     Sir James Robertson Bruce, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 September 1788.2 He was the son of Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt. and Letitia Barnard.1 He married Ellen Hesketh, daughter of Robert Bamford Hesketh, on 20 September 1819.2 He died on 22 April 1836 at age 47.3
     Sir James Robertson Bruce, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Bruce, of Downhill, co. Londonderry [U.K., 1804] in 1822.2

     Admiral Sir Henry William Bruce was born on 2 February 1792.1 He was the son of Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt. and Letitia Barnard.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Mary Minchin Dalrymple, daughter of Colonel George Dalrymple.2 He married, firstly, Jane Cochrane, daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Alexander Forrester Cochrane and Maria Shaw, on 9 February 1822.1 He died on 14 December 1863 at age 71.2
     Admiral Sir Henry William Bruce was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He lived at Ballyscullion, County Londonderry, Ireland.1
