     Hon. Elizabeth Shân Josephine Bailey was born on 10 September 1943. She is the daughter of Wilfred Russell Bailey, 3rd Baron Glanusk and Margaret Eldrydd Shoubridge.1 She married William Nigel Henry Legge-Bourke, son of Major Sir Edward Alexander Henry Legge-Bourke and Catherine Jean Grant, on 2 June 1964.1
     Hon. Elizabeth Shân Josephine Bailey usually went by her middle name of Shân.1 From 2 June 1964, her married name became Legge-Bourke.1 She was invested as a Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.).1 She held the office of Lady-in-Waiting to HRH The Princess Royal in 1987.1 She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Powys in 1998.1
