     Sir Sidney Godolphin Alexander Shippard was born in 1840. He married, firstly, Maria Susanna Stockenström in 1864.1 He married, secondly, Rosalind Sanford, daughter of William Ayshford Sanford and Sarah Ellen Seymour, in 1894. He died in 1902.
