     Captain George Dartmouth Fitzroy was born on 22 May 1832. He was the son of Captain William Simon Houghton Fitzroy and Anne Philip Bagge. He married Caroline Catherine Macpherson, daughter of Cluny Macpherson, on 11 January 1866. He died on 7 December 1890 at age 58.
     Captain George Dartmouth Fitzroy gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.

     Caroline Catherine Macpherson was the daughter of Cluny Macpherson. She married Captain George Dartmouth Fitzroy, son of Captain William Simon Houghton Fitzroy and Anne Philip Bagge, on 11 January 1866. She died on 8 November 1928.
     Her married name became Fitzroy.
