     He was educated at University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was Professor of Logic (Moral Philosophy) in 1751 at University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He wrote the book The Theory of Moral Sentiments, published 1759.2 He wrote the book An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, published 1776.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)2
