     Adeline Sarah Newton was the daughter of Philip Jocelyn Newton and Henrietta Maria Kennedy.1 She married Arthur Newton Forbes-Gordon, son of Arthur Forbes-Gordon and Charlotte Balfour, on 17 April 1876.2 She died on 21 February 1879.1
     From 17 April 1876, her married name became Forbes-Gordon.1
