     Captain Dacre Ives Barrett-Lennard was born on 21 March 1829.1 He was the son of Reverend Dacre Barrett-Lennard and Rachel Anna Ives.1 He married, firstly, Anna Statira Devereux, daughter of Reverend Nicholas Devereux, on 3 November 1877.1 He married, secondly, Jane Mellor, daughter of Samuel Mellor, on 17 December 1892.1 He died on 17 December 1897 at age 68, without issue.1
     Captain Dacre Ives Barrett-Lennard gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.1

     Anna Statira Devereux was the daughter of Reverend Nicholas Devereux.1 She married Captain Dacre Ives Barrett-Lennard, son of Reverend Dacre Barrett-Lennard and Rachel Anna Ives, on 3 November 1877.1 She died in January 1892.1
     Her married name became Barrett-Lennard.
