Robert Martin Dominic Ponsonby and Dorothy Edith Jane Lane.1 She married Charles George Townshend, Viscount Raynham, son of Sir George John Patrick Dominic Townshend, 7th Marquess Townshend and Elizabeth Pamela Audrey Luby, on 9 October 1975.1 She died in 1985, in a motor accident.1
     From 9 October 1975, her married name became Townshend.1

     Lt.-Cdr. Frederick William Ponsonby was born on 30 April 1917.1 He was the son of Sir George Arthur Ponsonby and Julia Winifred Maitland Oldfield.1 He died on 20 October 1950 at age 33 at Setuban, Portugal, accidentally drowned.1
     Lt.-Cdr. Frederick William Ponsonby fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1
