     Basil Egerton Feilding was born on 14 May 1916.1 He was the son of Rudolph Edmund Aloysius Feilding, Viscount Feilding and Agnes Imelda Mary Harding.1 He married Rosemary Eardley-Wilmot, daughter of Commander Neville Eardley-Wilmot, on 14 September 1939.1 He died on 3 October 1970 at age 54.1
     Basil Egerton Feilding was educated at Oratory School, South Kensington, London, England.1 He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1
