     Sir John Assheton Eardley-Wilmot, 5th Bt. was born on 2 January 1917.1 He was the son of Commander Frederick Neville Eardley-Wilmot and Dorothy Little.2 He married Diana Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Commander Aubrey Moore, on 23 June 1939.1 He died in December 1995 at age 78.1
     Commn 1967 Monopolies –82.1 He was Royal Navy WW II (Norwegian War ), Commander 1950, commander HMS Opossum 1951–53, ret 1967 as Dep Dir Naval Admin Planning Medal 1943.1 He was educated RNC Dartmouth.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Eardley-Wilmot.1 He was Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1 He was Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1957.1 He was MIMgt, Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.) , Freeman City London in 1970.1 He lived in 2003 at 41 Margravine Gdns, London W6 8RN, ZZZ.1
