Captain Sir William Parker, 9th Bt. was born on 2 September 1826.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Hyde Parker and Caroline Eden. He married Sophia Mary Barnardiston, daughter of Nathaniel Clarke Barnardiston, on 22 November 1855.1 He died on 24 May 1891 at age 64.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Suffolk between 1832 and 1834.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 44th Regiment.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Parker, of Melford Hall, co. Suffolk [E., 1681] on 21 March 1856.2
