Brigadier Henry Lawrence Savill Young was born on 19 October 1915.2 He was the son of Major George Edward Savill Young and Alison Jane Poole.2 He married Noreen de Vere Ponsonby, daughter of Thomas Brabazon Ponsonby and Frances May Paynter, on 19 September 1939.1 He died on 9 February 2004 at age 88.2
