     Captain Humfrey Greenwood Hopper gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.

     Ashley Henry Maude was born on 14 March 1850. He was the son of Colonel Sir George Ashley Maude and Katherine Katinka Beauclerk. He married Emma Constance Henry, daughter of John Snowdon Henry, on 29 April 1876. He died on 3 October 1933 at age 83.
