     Charles Augustus Egerton was born on 24 August 1846.2 He was the son of Edward Christopher Egerton and Lady Mary Frances Pierrepont.1 He married Lady Mabel Annie Brassey, daughter of Sir Thomas Brassey, 1st Earl Brassey and Anna Allnutt, on 17 April 1888.3 He died on 13 October 1912 at age 66.1
     Charles Augustus Egerton was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Mountfield Court, Robertsbridge, Sussex, England.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1
