Lady Mary Helena Maitland was born on 23 October 1938. She is the daughter of Ivor Colin James Maitland, Viscount Maitland and Helena Ruth Perrott.1 She married Robert Michael Christian Biddulph, 4th Baron Biddulph, son of Michael William John Biddulph, 3rd Baron Biddulph and Lady Amy Louise Agar, on 9 April 1958.1
Her married name became Biddulph. As a result of her marriage, Lady Mary Helena Maitland was styled as Baroness Biddulph on 21 July 1972. She lived in 2003 at Great Ridge Hall, Makerstoun, Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2

He married Helena Ruth Perrott, daughter of Colonel Sir Herbert Charles Perrott, 6th Bt., on 29 October 1936. He died on 18 January 1943 at age 27 at North Africa, killed in action.
