     Captain Sir Alastair Francis Stuart Coats, 4th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Coats, of Auchendrane, Ayrshire [U.K., 1905] on 26 October 1966.3 He lived in 2003 at Birchwood House, Durford Wood, Petersfield, Hampshire, England.1
