     Ivor Paul Coats was born on 25 January 1923.1 He was the son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox.2 He married Caroline Gay Pinckney, daughter of Dr. Charles Percy Pinckney, on 21 January 1959.1
     Ivor Paul Coats was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was commissioned in 1943 with the rank of Lieutenant, in the service of the 12th Lancers.1 He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa and Italy, where he was wounded and became a POW.1 He lived in 2003 at 110c Victoria Rise, London, England.1

     Commander Clare George Vyner was born on 31 March 1894. He was the son of Lord Alwyne Frederick Compton and Mary Evelyn Violet Vyner. He married Lady Doris Hilda Gordon-Lennox, daughter of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond and Hilda Madeline Brassey, on 10 April 1923.1 He died on 29 October 1989 at age 95 at Ullapool, as the result of a motor accident.2
