John Rodney and Lady Louisa Martha Stratford, on 29 June 1818.1 He died on 10 November 1873 at age 80.1
     Lt.-Col. Lord John George Lennox held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Sussex.1

     General Sir Wilbraham Oates Lennox, V.C. was born on 4 May 1830 at Goodwood, Sussex, England.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Lord John George Lennox and Louisa Fredericka Rodney.1 He married, firstly, Mary Harriett Harrison, daughter of Robert Harrison, on 16 July 1861.1 He married, secondly, Susan Hay Sinclair, daughter of Admiral Sir John Gordon Sinclair, 8th Bt., on 12 June 1867.3 He died on 7 February 1897 at age 66 at London, England.2 He was buried at Lewes Road Cemetery, Brighton, Sussex, England.2
     General Sir Wilbraham Oates Lennox, V.C. fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856.2 He fought in the Indian Mutiny between 1857 and 1858.1 He was decorated with the award of Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 24 February 1857, for his actions on 20 November 1854.2 He gained the rank of General in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He fought in the Franco-Prussian War between 1870 and 1871.1 He was Director-General of Military Education.1 He fought in the Turco-Russian War between 1876 and 1877.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.1 He lived at East Pallant House, Chichester, Sussex, England.1
