     Marguerite Thorold was born on 16 August 1876. She was the daughter of Captain Cecil Thorold and Annie Charlotte Claremont. She married Hon. Maurice Raymond Gifford, son of Robert Francis Gifford, 2nd Baron Gifford and Hon. Swinburne Frederica Charlotte FitzHardinge Berkeley, on 21 September 1897. She married Lieutenant George Hugh Rayner on 20 April 1920. She died on 9 January 1958 at age 81.
     Her married name became Gifford. Her married name became Rayner.

     Annie Charlotte Claremont was the daughter of General E. S. Claremont. She married Captain Cecil Thorold on 2 September 1875. She married Ralph Henry Seymour Hall, son of Lt.-Gen. Julian Hamilton Hall and Augusta Wilhelmina Louisa Fremantle, on 25 September 1902. She died on 8 February 1913.
     Her married name became Thorold. Her married name became Hall.

     Lt.-Gen. Julian Hamilton Hall was born on 17 January 1837. He was the son of Sir John Hall of Dunglass, 5th Bt. and Julia Walker.1 He married Augusta Wilhelmina Louisa Fremantle, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Fremantle and Agnes Lyon, on 6 July 1864.1 He died on 15 August 1911 at age 74.1
     Lt.-Gen. Julian Hamilton Hall gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1
